Quinno _ left this review about The Three Horseshoes

Nice-looking traditional village pub situated on a corner halfway up a hill. Two bars and a real 50’s/60’s timewarp feel inside. A posh, stuffy dining room to the right with nice views and a public bar on the left with floor-to-ceiling 60's-style wood cladding. Two Arkells ales, 3B (ok) and Moonlight (a real pea-souper). We sat (inevitably) in the public bar, the floor space of which is incongruously dominated by a pool table slap-bang in the middle of it. There’s a small raised area to the rear with some tables and a dart board, including a handwritten bit of paper chronicling the on-going darts marathon of Gary vs. Stumpy. The windowsill of trophies I assume denotes recent sporting success. Either that or it’s the Gary vs. Stumpy trophy cabinet. Quite a curio this one and if the beer had been better I’d have been enthusing rather more. I’d say it’s worth stopping to have gawp. Will give it 6 for curio value.
