Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Long Arm Short Arm

McMullen's pub in a prominent, slightly elevated, position on the Old North Road just north of the bridge. The black and white photographs on the local history displays show how the building has changed over the years, and it now has a 'L'-shaped layout with the bar (and a narrow terrace) at the front and a larger dining area set perpendicular to the road. Semi-traditional furniture and decor throughout. Duplicated selection of AK and The Ford (a 3.8% golden 'house' beer) available from two of the three handpumps on each counter, and reversed Country clips also noted.

Komakino . left this review about The Long & Short Arm

This unusual-named pub is located 50 or so yards from the nearby Sun Inn (you cross the small, but quaint 'River' Lea to get here), this is a McMullen's pub, which majors in carvery on a Sunday, and one half of the pub was given over to this solely, and well-populated it was too. The second half (the interior is a chunky L-shape-) is bar-only, with a dartboard and various bench, standard and raised seating. Some interesting displays on the walls - old photos, framed newspaper clippings and trophy shelf above the entrance to the Gents, and despite a laminate bar apron, the entire floor space is carpeted, which gives off a pubby ambiance. AK Bitter, something called 'The Ford' at 3.8% and Rivertown Atlas - the latter £3.90 and rather good. The Sun is more Olde Worlde, but the L&SA shaded it on this visit.
