An inviting country pub which serves food and ale, located in a small village some way out of Stockbridge. It's popular with people who fish an the nearby lakes and walkers/cyclists. The reception is a bit unpredictable - I've had good and bad experiences here. They also run a small side-line in selling "quaint" paintings. The beer quality is always good, but the food is overpriced for what it is while the beer is also some of the most expensive around. My pint of Palmers was well up to its usual standard, well-kept and enjoyable. Worth stopping in if you're out this way but I'm not sure I would go out of my way just to find it.
