A lovely thatched cottage style village so was expecting good things here. However the pub is a bit plain inside. The main bar is boarded and a bit sparse, with a carpeted dining room off to the right. Fake(?) wood beams, not much atmosphere. A nice rear garden with large pond was where I wanted to go however it was wazzing down so had to stay in the dull indoors. Three pumps, Pride (vile, went back) and 6X (meh) with Doom Bar off. Prominent ‘Under new management’ signs and that seemed to be the sole topic of conversation at the bar. Let’s hope they get a grip on things.
