Steve of N21 left this review about Riverside Pub

As the property programs say, location, location, location, and that’s what this Arkells owned Pub restaurant with accommodation has. A nice stone building externally, internally it is a two level pub with lounge bar downstairs and a restaurant, upstairs. The lower bar is traditional with a stone flagged floor, dark wood panelling and a large open fireplace. And then there is an upstairs function room in the eve’s which becomes the restaurant section in summer months. Unfortunately for our Sunday lunchtime visit the upstairs section was being used for a private function, so the bar area more resembled a restaurant with several families in for the Sunday lunch. Fortunately this didn’t affect our visit because it was warm enough for us to enjoy the key selling point of this pub, which is the riverside patio and garden with picnic tables that affords excellent views of the Thames and the surrounding Oxfordshire countryside.
On the Ale front four Arkells brews are served and these were the Arkells House beers of 3B, Wiltshire Gold, Kingsdown and Moonlight and the couple we tried were in good nick.
This is a decent enough pub / restaurant but with a choice of micro brewery pubs available in the town I’m not sure this one would be worth a visit if it wasn’t for the riverside location.
