Tidy and fairly compact Butcombe pub which whilst modern in refit feels nicely trad over its low-ceilinged interior. Wood, picked beams, off-white colours and some exposed stone. Three Butcombe cask, my Blood Orange was excellent (NBSS 4) and probably my beer of the day. Surprisingly decent and would do again.

The Bear is a largish pub that is in the town centre.
Once inside i went in a well furnished room and i think there may be more rooms in this pub but i did'nt look,there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Smiles bitter which was a very nice drink the other beer was Courage best.
This pub was very busy and there was also a few picnic tables at the side of the pub.
