According to an article in the Gloucestershire Echo, the developers that purchased The Prince of Wales have been given permission to convert the former pub, into a house of multiple occupancy.

Update: The Prince of Wales has been sold.

I'm not sure what is going on at The Prince of Wales. They reopened for race week, but the pub has rarely been open since. There is now a To Let board outside again. Looking at the pub's photographs on the company's website, it looks as though the pub has been closed for a while.
