Well hidden, but as the only pub in the village, you are forced to track it down.

Checked the web site and its said they weren't doing food. We took sarnies on our Ridgeway Ramble and then came here to celebrate the end, to open the door and see everyone eating meals!

3-4 real ales on. I have to say I wasn't impressed with my St Austell Trelawny but that was probably down to taste, rather than condition.

My wife was delighted with her big pot of tea!

It has changed ownership and has Butcombe Bitter, Adnhams Bitter and the Rudygates Mild. The problem is often you go in and he only has one left. The lanlord is a Kiwi and has not realised choice is an issue to serious beer drinkers . They have Tetleys keg also
( yuk ), There is plenty of food available also all day I believe. It will never make the Real Ale Guide as he keeps selling out!
