Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Old Farm Inn

There are 2 pubs in the Bedfordshire village of Totternhoe. Both now appear to be part of a small chain of 3 pubs called lfw and both feature in the 2023 Good Beer Guide. It was dark when we arrived. So, I'm not sure if the Fuller's sign still appears on the pub's frontage, but the beer selection still seems to suggest that Fuller's are in some way still connected. London Pride is a regular, with Dark Star American Pale Ale also on as a guest.

There are a couple of rooms here. One is a public bar, the other is a dining room where they were hosting a large group well after 5pm, despite them advertising that food would stop at 5. I find it astonishing these days that when so many pubs are struggling that you can often turn up shortly before an advertised closing time for food to be denied a table. This could be one of a minority bucking the trend and actually accommodating customers' needs outside of their advertised hours.

The landlord was friendly and customers were chatty. Of the two in Totternhoe, this was the quietest, but also my favourite of the two.

Called into this 2019 Good Beer Guide pub and found a friendly pub which serves food and is a locals pub. Dog and child friendly. 3 cask ales on offer, Adnams Mosaic, Fullers Swing Low, London Pride and HSB. The Adnams Mosaic was fine.

A cosy pub with a traditional front bar, with a very welcome solid fuel stove. The small bar counter had four hand pumps with Fullers London Pride, ESB and HSB available at the time of my visit. I went for the HSB, which was in good condition and helped to revive me after my bike ride from Cheddington (the fire probably helped a little, too). The bar manager (presumably no relation to the previous reviewer, below) was a young New Zealander and was enthusiastic and welcoming. This is a pub that I would be happy to visit regularly if I lived nearby.

Beautiful old building. Serves a couple of real ales as well as the usual suspects. Serves food. Has gone downhill somewhat since the previous owner left.
