The Oddfellows Arms is a large pub with a mock Tudor exterior. On the recent Saturday night I visited the interior was decked out with Six Nations flags and some Union Jacks for the rugby and the many TVs and the projector screen were showing Match of the Day. The bar is on the back wall and to the left is a seating area and to the right are a couple of pool tables and a bar billiards table. Three out of the four hand pumps were unused leaving Harveys Best as the only ale choice in amongst the usual draught suspects. I think that the music was from a jukebox and the locals of Ore seem to have a penchant for Genisis. I had a pint of Guinness that was well served by the barmaid.

I thought that there was a bit of an atmosphere in here and the couple of locals whose paths I crossed were not the friendliest of people. I’ll give this pub a swerve when next in the area.

Something of a "local pub for local people", but as an ex-local I can get away with it.
Hasn't changed much in the last thirty years, and probably doesn't need to.
