Steve C left this review about The White Hart Tavern

The White Hart is located in the pedestrianized area of Weymouth next to the shopping centre. There are some picnic tables outside the front that were popular when I walked by on a recent clement weekday afternoon. I managed to pop in later that evening when the pub was very quiet and found a big pub with a large central bar. The seating surrounds the bar and there is a plasma screen and fireplace either end of the pub.
Cheap food is available during the day and the bar is stocked with standard draught along with two cask options which were Bombardier and Scrumpy cider.

The service was polite, but there are more interesting pubs in this area.

It's been a while since I've been in there.

They used to do karaoke on a Wednesday night but not sure if they still do so.

From what I remember it was a cosy pub with a good atmosphere. I hope it's still like that.

Not a bad pub - I was on Guinness (no ales!!!!) but had to wait an age for food (which was distinctly average). Few holidaymakers though, which is always a plus!

A mix of building styles, with a cream rendered cottage, with dormer windows stuck onto a mock-Tudor styled undressed stone rear, with a beer patio

The interior is a U-shape around the bar, with a cream, wood panel, white and beam ceiling decor, which along with the stone fireplaces, give some heritage back to the building. There were no real pictures just a few mirrors. It serves a budget menu, but i didn't eat so couldn't comment on that. The service was functional and the clientele seemingly consisted of students and the cheap beer brigade. There was pool tables, darts and charty music was on the TVs - at least at a decent level.

Beer; all tap stuff, no real ale, so had Guinness.

No real ale, so why bother to be honest - one for the students and those that seek the security of a Spoons like establishment

Think this is the right pic. Let me know if it isn't.

Not bad at all. not too pricey ( in fact I found it the cheapest in town )But I got the impression that it could be a bit"dodgey" of a weekend.

Outside are all the student-types, inside there's a restaurant.
Rather nondescript average pub.

The White Hart is a large pub in the town centre.
When we visited this pub they were building the new shopping centre next door to it.
Once inside here the bar is in the middle with seating around the bar this was a fairly comfortable pub which was always busy when we were in here.
There was one real ale on here which was Bass but this was'nt that good.

Pub visited 27 August 1999.
