Top of town - which means top of a very steep hill.
Two roomed, Good Beer Guide 2022 Entry. Traditional Greene King, with four cask (Landlord, Proper Job, Abbot and Harvest Pale).
Landlord was in average condition.
Good locals pub, with plenty of community banter.

We called here especially for their Pie Night held every Wednesday Eve from six. The pub was busy on our arrival, which is a good sign for a decent pie.
This pub is a Greene King house with seven handpumps, with three regular and four guest. The pub consists three rooms, a small and narrow central room and a slightly larger room either side. There was also a decent side front patio, which looked over the Derwent Valley below. The bar had a dark grey painted front and a mahogany top. I went for the Notts EPA and Bass, whilst Mrs A went for the TT Landlord. Our pies were also top notch and were reasonably priced.
