In what looks like a former bank ,the exterior is impressive with vast plate glass windows giving fine views of parts of the city centre.The ground floor has a few high tables opposite the bar,but mainly dining style tables elsewhere while a stair case gives access to a seating area at the mezzanine level with views over the ground floor and much needed metal surrounds.Up here you can appreciate the cornicing and fine ceiling ,all tidied up by 'spoons.
Just one rank of handpumps with the Trio of Doom along with guests Nethergate Dark Shadow,Coach House Barley Moon,a festival ale Oolong ESB and Salopian Thousand Yard Stare in NBSS Very Good condition.Not quite as good a guest range as the Flying Standard but a decent 'spoons never the less so worth a crawl visit when in the city centre.

Still a decent Spoons with a decent ale choice. Byatts Ruby Rye, Flacks Romsey Gold, Vale Tickety Brew and Electric Sheep. Both the Vale beers were in excellent shape and incredible value at £2.35 a pint.
Well worth a visit.

Two tier comfortable Spoons in a converted bank (2000 opener) which is surprisingly small inside given the look of the place from outside. We sat upstairs which was quite pleasant. My Conwy American Amber was a fairly perfunctory NBSS 3. 6.5
