True Gold - Spandau Ballet Tribute Band
Lead singer Lee James put out an advert for musicians and was inundated with offers, and within two months they had a settled line-up. The band took the name ‘True Gold’ after two of Spandau Ballets biggest hits!
With Lee James as lead vocal, Johnny Walker, guitarist, Chris Wright on Bass, they are joined by former Blue Train drummer Paul Betts, the amazing sound of Andy Cahill on saxophone, and Tony Hutchinson on Keyboards who complete the line up.
True Gold give the fully live experience, without a single backing track in sight!
The band have impressed so much that they have gained praise and backing from original Spandau Ballet members Tony Hadley, Gary Kemp and Steve Norman!
True Gold have played many venues including Sheffield City Hall, Brighton Pavilion, Birmingham Symphony Hall & Manchester Apollo, and also for many customers including BMW, Vodafone, Jaguar, HSBC, Barclays, British Airways and Warner Leisure.
