Rory Butler At Sebright Arms – 26th April, Cambridge Heath, The Sebright Arms
When
7pm - 11pm, Wed 26th Apr
About
Rory Butler left Glasgow University three years ago with an English degree but precious few job prospects and found himself labouring on Scottish building sites. Three years on he's living in London's East End and about to embark on his second solo UK tour having sold out London's St Pancras Old Church last autumn; his debut single BLACK AND BLUE charted at #6 on the Spotify Viral Chart and is now approaching one million streams worldwide.
In support of the release of his new single WINDOW SHOPPING Rory is playing a single headline date in London at Vice venue The Sebright Arms on the 26th April. Tickets are limited in number for this intimate venue so don't miss the opportunity to join one of the outstanding songwriting talents of his generation for an evening of unforgettable music and traditional Butler banter.
In these politically charged times Rory is at the vanguard of an emerging breed of protest songsters, following in the tradition of Woody Guthrie and Bert Jansch; a self taught virtuoso guitarist with a deceptively silken voice that belies an undercurrent of social conscience and bitter sweet love for the world he experiences daily.
"A wonderful young talent" - Whispering Bob Harris BBC Radio 2
