In the late 80s, two British bands ripped a blazing path across the UK playing their very own take on the music that they grew up on – raw, raucous, blues and rock ‘n’ roll. Eventually they spread the word throughout the world, before self-destructing and then being re-born and then self-destructing and then…you get the picture. Nearly 30 years later, in slightly adapted line-ups they are still going strong. At a crucial point during their journey (1996) Spike (The Quireboys) and Tyla (The Dogs D’Amour) decided to get together and record an album and see what might happen. That album (Tyla and Spike - Flagrantly Yours) has become a firm favourite amongst both Quireboys and Dogs fans over the years and a recent spate of activity seeing Spike and Tyla’s Hot Knives heading out for a string of dates around the UK and Spain. Having the two in the same room again performing re-ignited that creative spark and has led to a soon to be released follow up to Flagrantly Yours – albeit 20 years after the original!!

The pair have recorded the album in York over recent months and as a way of welcoming the new child to the family, they have decided where better to celebrate its release than an intimate acoustic show at The Fulford Arms. Guaranteed to be a night of great music, banter and laughs
