Courtyard Tap, Sudbury

We're very much in "just what is a micropub?" territory here, with a rambling old building serving up ale from jacketed casks adjacent to the bar, so possibly much as you might expect. However, those beers are from the sponsoring brewery and, on my visit, comprised a best bitter, labelled as a session IPA and a strong ale (5.9%), so that's obviously against "the rules". I found that service was friendly, if somewhat haphazard, with attention being focussed on the regulars to the detriment of new arrivals. The room was sufficiently chilly to have me glad I wasn't here in the deep midwinter. The beer quality didn't really benefit from its gravity dispense, as is often the case, so I concluded that The Courtyard Tap would be a one time only visit, even if the surprisingly large mid-afternoon crowd had a different opinion.
