A fairly large street corner pub, just a short walk from the busy Sutton town centre. The spacious interior has a nice comfy, traditional feel to it, with some smart banquettes and plenty of regular seating filling the place up. The rear area looked ideal for diners wanting to take advantage of the menus that were prominent throughout the room. Most of the locals were gathered at the bar and a number of them were watching the racing on a big screen suspended over the front door. A signed Brazil shirt was hanging from the wall at the front of the pub, but the only other item of real interest was a leaflet holder full of morbid pamphlets for 'funerals at the Robin Hood'! It's a Young's pub, so Ordinary, Special and London Gold plus a guest in the shape of Courage Best were the four ale options. The Ordinary was in pretty good shape and given that it was a sunny day, I went and drank it out on the covered patio to the rear of the pub. A decent community local and given Sutton's lack of decent pubs, somewhere worth seeking out.
