The Great Western, Warwick

A detached brick build with a touch of the Gothic style, with ashlar corner stones, just down from the station, with beer garden. The interior has two rooms, both seemigly bar/loungey types of rooms (though i didnt see much of the one) and served from a central bar. The room i was in was in a light and dark choclate decor, with wood floor, tables and chairs, as well as a brick fireplace. The walls had sporty memorabilia and there were a few Sky TVs which on our second visit were showing the Villa v Wolves match. I dont know if this was a part of the station complex, or its hotel at one stage, but it had the feel of an old waiting room, which means, yes, i liked it. The service was fine, there wasn't really much clientele on either occasion that we visited. Beer; tap stuff, with a decent enough St Austell Tribute, until it finished, and a decent enough Jennings Cumberland Ale after it had. The place wasn't buzzing with life and i felt that we may have caught it at the best time more miserable people like us, but i am glad we did!
