The Loggerheads, Shrewsbury

A recent refurb( thankfully more a lick a paint)has retained this pubs character.Full of nooks and crannies ,its what you expect an old town pub to be. Few frills but good beer and a bit of history. A must for the Shrewsbury pub crawl.

This building is fanatstic - lovely painted brick extrior, with a maze of little wooden rooms inside, one of which sports the 'gents only (until 1975)'. I have eaten here before - a nice chilli that the gaffer said was a bit hot - and i can vouch it was - but not to the point of being inedible. There is no MILD, so opted for the next best thing which was a Merrie Monk, which went down well. Always worth a visit, just ask how hot the food is!
