The Black Dog Beer House, Brentford

Oh dear…. When you pop into a backstreet pub during lunchtime any problems are not usually that obvious as it is quiet and any patronage is usually local. Not the Albany! I had to wait, with fiver in hand, at the bar whilst the barmaid talked through me to her friends who were leaving. Once she had finished she was very friendly whilst serving me, but I had to go into the beer garden to finish my tangy half as I'm not a big daytime TV person and I was the only person in the pub. One saving grace is that there is a pool table and a dartboard, but I think that 50% of pubs in Brentford have a pool table and dartboard so I'll be giving this place the Spanish archer in future.
