It's been repainted in a subtle shade of grey, but this corner pub has also undergone an internal refurb which places it squarely at the trendy end of the market. You enter into an open plan area with many sofas and a few tables and chairs. The bar is to the left and besides the usual kegs it has two handpumps serving Doom Bar and TT Landlord at an eye watering £3.70.Beyond the bar to the right is a small alcove with a mixing desk which is used on DJ nights while the back section is dark, with high stools placed along the wall.Keep walking to a back room which gives some relief from the noisy muzak and has more seating ,a sofa and a coal affect gas fired woodburner. In this room is the exit to a small walled courtyard. It's a trendy establishment popular with students and a young hip crowd but this does bring the added benefit of very attractive barmaids,so not all hope is lost.
